THE VESPERTINE'S FOWLS
The backstreets of the casual street fowls
are set on fire,
all sanctuaries are burnning up,
all nests - overturned,
all windows - broken,
the vespertine's fowls are free
in their backstreet hiding places,
their wings turned to ashes
in a night - engulfed in flames.
